Fresh Aspirations is a not-for-profit CIC that offers young people in Suffolk opportunities to experience hands on, real projects with businesses and business people. New skills are learned and the young people are guided through evidencing and evaluating those skills in order to present them effectively alongside any academic qualifications. All great for boosting self-esteem, self-awareness and aspiration.
Alongside the provision of a group programme which meets on a fortnightly basis, Fresh Aspirations offers a holiday programme of Enterprise Explorer Days. These highly interactive days take young people behind the scenes, often in businesses not normally open to them. It introduces them to key personnel and gives them hands on projects.
The summer programme for 2017 takes place during the week beginning 7th August. It begins and ends at the East Anglian Daily Times offices in Ipswich with some great opportunities including editing, photography, advertising, copy writing and more. During the week the group will work with an Executive Presence specialist, get behind the scenes at Suffolk county Council, see how MyGo works and deliver a project for ICanBeA. The full programme will be confirmed by the end of June.
There are 12 places available to 12-18 year olds. The summer programme is part funded by the East Suffolk Youth Priority Action Group (ESYPAG) so the 5 day week is just £75 per student.
