GSA Conference - Girl Power - STEM Solutions towards a sustainable world

Every two years St Mary's School organises a GSA Schools “Girl Power: Women in Science” conference to inspire future generations of young women to get involved in Science.

Two sessions: Please feel free to volunteer for one or both sessions. 

Session one (11:15-12:15) 

(Presentation to all students) - 6 female speakers to give a 10 minute presentation on their careers path and current job. This is presented to the students as a panel of professional women working in or linked to STEM.

Session two (12:45-14:00) 

(breakout session for 40 students) Individual Careers Chat – 10 female ambassadors offering an opportunity to discuss pathways in STEM to small groups of students for 5-6 minutes on rotation for 1 hour.
