Women In Engineering Events 2017

Connect Education and Business are hosting 2 Women in Engineering events, to celebrate National Women in Engineering day. The first in Ipswich on 21st June for Suffolk and Norfolk schools and the second at Cranfield University 23rd June for Cambridge and Bedfordshire schools. The events are to raise the profile and celebrate the achievements of women in engineering, and to encourage more girls to consider engineering as a career. Currently women make up less than 10% of the engineering sector, and with a large skills gap looming and the additional need for a more diverse workforce, it has never been more important to encourage girls to choose a career in engineering.
