Women In Engineering Event 2019

Connect Education and Business will be hosting our own Women in Engineering event  to celebrate National Women in Engineering day. The event will be held 20th June 2019. The event is to raise the profile and celebrate the achievements of women in engineering, and to encourage more girls to consider engineering as a career. Currently women make up less than 10% of the engineering sector, and with a large skills gap looming and the additional need for a more diverse workforce, it has never been more important to encourage girls to choose a career in engineering.

International Women in Engineering Day is an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry.

In 2019, as well as celebrating our sixth INWED, we are also celebrating 100 years of the Women's Engineering Society (WES). We hope you will join us in ensuring this year's celebration of the outstanding achievements of women engineers throughout the world is the biggest yet! The theme for 2019 is #TransformTheFuture.
